Platform for Crypto Payments Wirex Expands Services to the United States

Wirex is a global digital payment platform and regulated institution that has established new ground rules in the digital payments industry
Fremont, CA: Wirex, a leading digital payments platform, has launched its services in the United States, providing millions of people with more affordable, simple, and secure access to crypto and fiat currencies in their daily lives.
Wirex aims to revolutionize payments in the United States by allowing users to buy, hold, exchange, and sell US dollars and 37 different cryptocurrencies from a single user-friendly app and send and receive crypto from external wallets. The app is linked to a contactless Visa debit card via cutting-edge technology, allowing customers to spend their cryptocurrency* online and in-store at over 61 million locations worldwide. Complimentary domestic and international ATM withdrawals**, no annual fee, no exchange fees, near-instant crypto transactions, and live transaction notifications are also available. In addition, customers can now instantly top up with no fees by linking their debit cards, thanks to a unique collaboration with Checkout.com.
Wirex has become well-known in the fintech community for creating the first crypto-enabled debit card and the world's first crypto rewards scheme, CryptobackTM, since its inception in 2014. Users can earn up to 8 percent in X-points for every purchase, exchanging for any other cryptocurrency in-app. In addition, to accelerate the adoption of the digital economy, they have released an upgraded rewards scheme, X-tras, and a DeFi-powered interest-earning product, X-Accounts, both of which will be available in the United States soon.
"We're thrilled to be able to enable American consumers, whether crypto-enthusiasts or novice fintech fans, to reap the benefits of a digital economy," said Harold Montgomery, Managing Director of Wirex USA. "Users in the United States have been clamouring for an alternative to antiquated, slow, and opaque payment methods, which is where Wirex comes in. We're known for upholding regulatory and licencing standards where they're required, and for implementing industry-best practises where no regulations exist. Customers in the United States can expect the same level of compliance."
